Vintage Aluminum Christmas Trees – Check Out Estate Sales

The Aluminum Specialty Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin introduced the aluminum Christmas tree. It provided an opportunity for a contemporary look in our race to space age with satellites and sending men to orbit the earth. The trees became very popular and were eventually made by several different companies in silver and other. They ranged in size from four foot to eight foot. They were easy to assemble or fold up and did not require lights on the tree. A rotating color wheel could be used to continually change the color.

You can still find these trees today at estate sales such as our featured photo and many dealers are purchasing them during the course of the year at these sales and selling them on a variety of sites. If you are considering one for next Christmas start watching estate sales. You’ll save money and enjoy a truly collectible vintage part of Christmas.

This will be Estate Sales News last throwback of 2015 with Christmas eve one week from tonight.
