“Family Says Final Farewell To Their 1950’s Homestead” Estate Sale

Danny Triplett owner of Full House Liquidation spoke with EstateSalesNews.com and provided today’s headline “Family Says Final Farewell to Their 1950’s TIA-Adjacent Homestead”.

Here is an excerpt from Danny’s article.

“Full House Liquidation will be conducting an enormous farewell estate sale on the Jessen family’s TIA-adjacent property, coming up Sept.8th=11th at 5014 N. Hesperides St. in Tampa.

It’s located located adjacent to Air Cargo Rd, right up against Tampa International Airport. The family has been here since back in the 1950s when it was Drew Field.

Now as Drew Park, with mostly industrial type businesses, the family homestead is one of the last of an era, that will soon be gone.

As the family members passed away over the years, and others moved out of state, two of the brothers chose to stay on their family property for decades, and continued to live there together as bachelors up into their seventies.

Both were engineers, who enjoyed racing cars as a hobby. One was an architectural engineer for a local archtiectural on Howard Avenue and the other was a mechanical engineer for a big food processing company here in Florida.

Their hobby through the years was racing cars, working on cars and believe it or not collecting hundreds upon hundreds of diecast collector cars as well as model car ktis.

An unbelievable amount of cars, not to mention 7 actual vehicles that will also be for sale at the upcoming estate sale, as well as twenty 40 ft. long high-cube shipping/cargo containers filled with tools, antiques, and even an early 1970s Karman Ghia and 2 motorcycles! That’s not even counting the extremely packed house full of hundreds, if not thousands, of small vintage collectible item! Coins, jewelry, knives, antiques, vintage 1950’s collector magazines galore etc. etc.!

With grandparents who came from as far away as Norway in the 1800s. and parents who were farmers from Pipestone Minnesota, the house is filled with all kinds of vintage and antique collectibles, some dating back more than a century and a half.

As as the cargo containers themselves, they will also be for sale September 8-11. The contents of the containers include tools, tools and more tools, several of them brand-new in the box plus vintage VW & Chevy hub caps, car emblems, bumpers, engine parts.

There’s also a 1996 Corvair, a 2003 Honda pilot, a 1990 VW Westfailia Vanagon, 2 Suzuki Intruder motorcycles, a John Deere riding mower, a utility trailer etc. etc. There’s even a Red Ryder BB gun!

It’s such a massive sale that we’ll have Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on site every day.”
